welcome

from the program director

I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to you on behalf of our ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program at Providence St. Mary Medical Center.

Choosing a residency program aligned with your values and aspirations is essential. Our residents learn to provide care for our vulnerable and high-risk population with multiple comorbidities. If you envision yourself as a primary care provider in an underserved rural community, our program may be the perfect choice for you.

The impact you can make on the health and quality of life in the High Desert is far greater than in more affluent areas. Our program will provide you with excellent medical training and a rewarding life experience.

Here, you will be a community physician who cares for and develops strong relationships with your patients, providing community-based primary care. Participating in our residency program will allow you to experience a wide range of medical challenges and prepare you to handle clinical situations with confidence.

We invite you to become part of our community, improve access to care for our underserved area, and grow personally and professionally.

Thank you for considering our program.

Sincerely,

K. Kevin Park, M.D., MBA, FACHE, CHCQM-PHYADV
